Model-derived Takeoff - Ratios

This method involves estimating rebar weight by applying a reinforcement ratio (kg/m³ or lb/yd³) to the concrete volume of the modelled structure.

To enhance the precision of reinforcement estimation, it's critical to validate the structural model's join order, ensuring accurate element joins as mandated by the chosen rules of measurement for concrete structure quantification (see example illustrated in Figure 05).

This step ensures that the concrete volume adheres to the chosen rules of measurement and serves as a base for accurate estimation of rebar quantities for each category.

Applicability: If rebar modelling is not required by the EIR, this method can be employed for all project phases.
